1991-02-11 Hollywood, CA (Mookie Blaylock)

Very good quality audience video of one of the earliest ever shows. Opening for Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam was still under the Mookie Blaylock name then, but seemingly not comfortable about it. Eddie said that next time they might have taken another name, something like Nuclear Love Frogs. Nice short show!

1991-11-14 Tower Records, Yonkers, NY

This is a recording of a small fully acoustic performance at one of the Tower Records stores. Already uploaded 1991 Rockville show was wrongly labelled as 1991-11-14 (these shows got absolutely identical set-lists), but as I recently found out, it was held on 1991-11-09, the mistake is corrected now. Pearl Jam early set-lists are a bit of a mess and 11/09 show is not mentioned on the official Pearl Jam site, but in fact the band played it on the same day before 1991-11-09 Bender Arena, Washington DC. This video is definitely 11/14 and I believe it was held in Yonkers, NY, not in Rockville.

Quality of this video is probaly the best of all available very early shows. Also it includes the band introduction and autograph session scenes after the show (I bet those cassettes and CDs are of really high value nowdays).  Ed began singing with no mic, his hand was bandaged after injury two days before. Acoustic performance is great, small audience is very friendly and interactive.

Mother Love Bone 1989-09-03 Seattle

Mother Love Bone was the band where Stone and Jeff played and had been going to become rock-stars with their upcoming great album called Apple. Sudden death of Andy Wood changed everything and out of Mother Love Bone ashes Pearl Jam band was born. Picture quality is poor but at least it's possible to guess where is Stone, where is Jeff and where is Andy. One song is missing (Gentle Groove).

Couple days after the release of unknown then Ten album, Pear Jam fired up the small club audience ($5 per ticket). During Alive solo Ed took Mike playing the guitar atop his shoulders. 2000-06-12 Pink Pop Festival, Netherlands (with DVD)

Another chapter of Pearl Jam at Pink Pop, this time no stage diving from Eddie but a lot of crowd surfing from the fans. The audience is massive, passionate and very much into the show.

2000-05-26 San Sebastian, Spain (with DVD)

Ed's voice was garbled but the crowd was great and very interactive. The highlight of this show was one of the worst ever "Alive" performances with Eddie fucking up lyrics and the band messing up with the music. Ed asked people to not tell anyone about this fuck up or he would have to kill them. And then he made a sort of a poll what song to play next. Another point of interest is very long "Immortality" outro.

1993-11-05 Indio, CA (Shoe the Shoeless)

This is famous "Shoe The Shoeless" show. If you remember the song Fuck Me In My Brain from the 1993 Holiday single, it's from this show. The crowd was unruly and ridiculous even from the warm up performances, throwing shoes to the stage into the artists. The band was upset and angry. After Fuck Me In My Brain Eddie tried to interact with the audience and make a joke of throwing shoes. He licked a shoe and said: "Mmm, your dirt is my fucking food!"  Then he said "Shoe the shoeless! More shoes, shoes for my friend..." After the crowd started to throw shirts Ed demanded some pants and then said: "If anyone throws up a gun I'll shoot you all fuckers!" But after someone shot a shoe right into Ed's head, offended Eddie left the stage. The rest of the show some of the Pearl Jam members, unhappy with continuing shoe throwing, played from behind the stage equipment. After that, would I say that during "Blood" Mike smashed and destroyed his guitar and then played baseball with Ed using the remains of the instrument? Must be seen.

Set: Release, Go, Animal, Why Go, Deep, Jeremy, Glorified G, Daughter (It's Time To Realign Your Body With Your Mind), Alive, Rearviewmirror, Improv (Thank You), Blood, Rats, Once, Porch (Tearing), Fuck Me In My Brain, Sonic Reducer, Even Flow, Indifference, Baba O'Riley

1992-06-17 Milan, Italy (DVD possible)

Good broadcast video of solid intense indoor show in Milan, featuring Mammason Trilogy in it's full entity, some improvs and Ed's crowd surfing. 1992-06-08 Pink Pop Festival, Netherlands (with DVD)

This is one of the most famous and impressive Pearl Jam shows from the early era. The band played before one of the largest crowds in their short then history, that was altogether new experience for them. And they rocked one of the most agressive and passionate performances ever. As the band broke into the long "Porch" jam, Eddie made his most spectacular dive from the stage into the crowd. Must be seen!

This is a professional good quality broadcast video of almost entire set and a small after-show interview with Eddie.

1991-11-09 Tower Records, Rockville, MD

A small good acoustic set in one of Tower Records stores. This show was wrongly labelled as 1991-11-14 and still can be found on the official Pearl Jam site in Tour section. But, as I found out recently, on November 14 Pearl Jam played in Yonkers, NY absolutely identical acoustic show. And this show was held on November 9 in Rockville, MD, right before the Washington DC warm up performance for the Smashing Pumpkins on the same day.

1992-03-02 Paard, Den Haag, Netherlands (with DVD)

Famous early show with many improvisations. Mike and Stone sang a-capella a small part of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" before "Porch". Ed's brother Jason joined Pearl Jam to play bass for very very long and special version of "I've Got a Feeling". This jam included snippets of "Hunger Strike", "Say Hello 2 Heaven" (Temple Of The Dog) and "Jane Says" (by Jane's Addiction). Must be seen!

This is an audience video, DVD release is by FVM. Picture quality is far from fantastic, but good.
