1991-09-30 I-Beam, San Francisco, CA

One of the earlier shows. During "Jeremy" Ed had performed some sort of unsuccessful stage dive and collapsed on to the floor, so he had to be taken out with the help of the crew. Maybe this is why for the "Porch" jam he  scrambled to the ramp above the stage and sang the rest of the song from there.

1991-02-11 Hollywood, CA (Mookie Blaylock)

Very good quality audience video of one of the earliest ever shows. Opening for Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam was still under the Mookie Blaylock name then, but seemingly not comfortable about it. Eddie said that next time they might have taken another name, something like Nuclear Love Frogs. Nice short show!

Set: Wash, Once, Even Flow, Breath, Porch

1991-11-14 Tower Records, Yonkers, NY

This is a recording of a small fully acoustic performance at one of the Tower Records stores. Already uploaded 1991 Rockville show was wrongly labelled as 1991-11-14 (these shows got absolutely identical set-lists), but as I recently found out, it was held on 1991-11-09, the mistake is corrected now. Pearl Jam early set-lists are a bit of a mess and 11/09 show is not mentioned on the official Pearl Jam site, but in fact the band played it on the same day before 1991-11-09 Bender Arena, Washington DC. This video is definitely 11/14 and I believe it was held in Yonkers, NY, not in Rockville.

Quality of this video is probaly the best of all available very early shows. Also it includes the band introduction and autograph session scenes after the show (I bet those cassettes and CDs are of really high value nowdays).  Ed began singing with no mic, his hand was bandaged after injury two days before. Acoustic performance is great, small audience is very friendly and interactive.

1991-08-29 RKCNDY, Seattle, WA (with DVD)

Couple days after the release of unknown then Ten album, Pear Jam fired up the small club audience ($5 per ticket). During Alive solo Ed took Mike playing the guitar atop his shoulders. During Porch Ed dived into the crowd from the rafters high above. It was all the rage. Although poor picture and sound quality, this is rare chance to see how it all started!

1991-11-09 Tower Records, Rockville, MD

A small good acoustic set in one of Tower Records stores. This show was wrongly labelled as 1991-11-14 and still can be found on the official Pearl Jam site in Tour section. But, as I found out recently, on November 14 Pearl Jam played in Yonkers, NY absolutely identical acoustic show. And this show was held on November 9 in Rockville, MD, right before the Washington DC warm up performance for the Smashing Pumpkins on the same day.

Set: Wash, Black, Alive, Oceans, (Smells Like Teen Spirit) Porch

Video: MPEG1 Video 352x240 (107:80) 29.97fps
